Huntsville Hospital has a long history of caring for the people of Northern Alabama and Southern Tennessee. When a 45,000 sq. ft. expansion was planned, architects and staff called for a floor with design and performance upgrades. A quick installation was necessary to keep emergency rooms in service. The design group specified a stylized, durable, easy-to-maintain floor that would hold up to Betadine staining, provide comfort underfoot for staff, and reduce noise from wheeled carts, visitor traffic, and voices.

Stonres RTZ stands up to the heavy loads and high traffic that hospitals experience daily. To combat potential staining, Stonhard offered fast-acting and easy-to use Stonkleen SR9 stain remover. Maintenance crews find this product simple and highly effective for use with Stonres RTZ floors. Since the initial installation, an additional 25,000 sq. ft. of RTZ floors were installed in the older ER and Trauma Center at Huntsville.
