Plexus, a leader in electronic manufacturing services, provides products that are used in a variety of different industries such as networking, data communications, medical, industrial, computer and even transportation. Plexus’ worldwide capabilities has made it a reliable source for customers everywhere. However, with a growing business comes new expansion opportunities, as was the case with Plexus.

When Plexus expanded its operations in Illinois and Wisconsin, the new facilities needed to meet specific capabilities, especially when it came to the flooring system. Plant managers were frustrated with the tile floors at Plexus because they couldn’t stand up to the demands of the environment and were in constant need of repair.

Due to the high volume of manufacturing and assembly at Plexus facilities, there is a tremendous amount of traffic and buildup of static shock. Electro-static buildup stems from a facilities’ surface and is a primary concern for any manufacturing area utilizing sensitive electronic components and equipment. Finding a solution for these issues, along with providing a comfortable yet visually appealing environment for Plexus employees was tough – but Stonhard manufactures flooring for both performance and aesthetics.
