Stonhard Floors Elevate Banking Café Experience

Banking Institution Faces Flooring Challenges for New Café Concept

An American banking institution sought to create a café setting and needed a strong, resilient flooring system that could incorporate colors handpicked by corporate leadership. Project planners also needed flooring that could be installed over the existing raised computer floor tiles and plywood substrate. The original concept called for a poured and polished cement overlay, but a manufacturer shortage prompted planners to consider Stonhard’s Stonres RTZ-2 flooring system which offers more flexibility compared with a rigid poured cement overlay or traditional epoxy terrazzo.

Stonres RTZ-2 is a durable, flexible flooring solution that was selected for its ability to meet corporate design requirements and provide an installation over existing raised flooring.

This resilient urethane flooring system with custom colors and unique triangle pattern, creates a stylish space with performance benefits for customers and employees.

What's In Your Cafe?

Designers saw the value in Stonhard’s Stonres RTZ-2, a poured-in-place urethane flooring system that is resilient and offers a more natural look compared with terrazzo. Benefits include ergonomics, durability, and noise-reduction, making it a perfect system for high-traffic public spaces like the new café. Stonhard crews installed the new flooring featuring a unique triangle pattern with custom colors selected by corporate leadership. The design fosters a soothing space for clients and customers to work, socialize, and relax.
